Ripping Software
Can anyone recommend some easy to use MP3 ripping software.
I need it to create a folder with the title of the artist as it rips.

TagScanner allows you to rename all of the mp3's and takes the tags to create a directory such as band name- album where all the mp3s are renamed into. This works well for me because I usually rip a lot of cd's and then at the end (or beginning) of the day I'll go to sync my ipod and before doing so I'll just run one command in TagScanner and have all my mp3's in directories according to artist-album. Yeah, I just started using EAC and LAME and they work great. Can you tell me where I can get TagScanner? Is it free?
Thanks.

Can somebody also tell me where get info how to access interent database to get information about CD based on length of each song? I'm going to write a program for automatic tagging after EAC/Lame.
It looks like I found freedb for this purpose. There are any alternatives?

exact audio copy & lame here, too. works fast, offers excellent quality, easy to use and free! and, it?s from germany (isn`t it?)...
...at least one reason to be proud of these days...
btw, for tagging i recommend "ID3-TagIT". but ugly, but easy to use & free, too.

It won't group your songs by artist and/or album, which means I now have a music folder with about 200+ files in it.
It will do what your trying to do. It in the ripping setting of EAC.
Under the file name tab paste the following info:
%D\%C\%N - %A - %T
That will created the following.
artist\cd title\ Track Number - Artist - Track Name.*
