more than 1000 songs in yoru pocket?
hey!
got the 5 gb ipod and soon, i?ll have more than 5 gb of music on my pc.
this may be a often asked question, but how do you handle your songs? playlists? folders with new songs to sync and older ones? rotate the songs on your pod every time you sync?
maybe i should use another program than ephod, so i could handle playlists better?
thanks,
tibor

until Apple release the iTune for Windows, I will do all updates manually.
I have a 15gig, so I don't update a lot, but I know, after playing songs randomly, that some of them I will most of the time skip, so, at night, I will remove them from the iPod, and will replace them with new CDs.
I usually change about 4, 5 CDs worth of songs per week.
I don't use playlists, I haven't found a real use from them in my daily routine.

I use MC9 to solve this dilemma. You can create a smartlist that contains all the music you want on your iPod, your Master Smartlist. All other Playlists you want on your iPod you make as smartlists as well, but you just limit them with the rule "Playlist=Master Smartlist". This way you just have to manage one list and keep it below the max limit of the iPod. Works really well when you have a library bigger than your iPod.
And it's a snap to add/remove tunes by just editing the master smartlist and doing a quick < 1 minute sync.

you can make a folder where you put the playlists of the music you want on the ipod and then sync that folder. if you want to have some other music on there just take some playlists out of the folder and put some in.
