Synch problem
I have MC9.0.88. My "All Music" playlist on my PC contains 1265 files, but when I synch with my Ipod, the "All Music" playlist on the ipod only contains 1165 songs. Any idea why this would happen? I have a 20Gb Ipod and the 1265 songs approximately take up 6gb of storage.
I have tried reformatting the ipod and synching again, but still had the same result. I haven't had the time to compare the playlists to see what is mising yet. That might take me some time.

Before I do anything, I'd upgrade to the production version of MC9. You're still using a beta version from ages ago. The version that was released and is out now is 9.0.180. That's almost 100 builds from what you're using!
Get the latest build from the JRiver boards. You should probably do a full restore when you get it downloaded. Then see if you still have the problem.

I updated to the latest version 180. Now every time I click on synch, the program crashes. I'm on XP Home edition with all windows updates applied. I rebooted several times to see if that made any difference. It didn't
I performed a system restore to get back to my previous version, although that worked it doesn't run because the 180 db is incompatible with the 88 version.
So now I'm in a worse position than before. I can't synch at all.

That's why I said you'd need to do a restore on the ipod before using .180. Steve changed a bunch of stuff.
Do a restore on your iPod (you'll lose all your tunes) using the updater. Then fire up MC9 .180. It will ask to do it's own reformat, let it, it will just take a second.
Then you'll be in business.
They changed a number of things in the plugin and MC9 since .88. That's why a restore is necessary.
