Help : Keep loosing playlist in EphPod

I use 2.60f in XP Prof. Yesterday is the second time I loose all my playlists(not really, I still have one remaining) after doing some upload/download albums in EphPod.

My config :
XP Pro
iPod 30G
1394 thr. Audigy

Anyone also experiencing this problem? The bad thing is, I don't know how to backup my playlists in EphPod, any advice please??

Try unclicking the "auto sort playlists" in the config window

No, I haven't check this option.

I am also sure I let EphPod to save all those information before exit. I am also sure I unplug the iPod only after the "Do not disconnect" message disappear.

Any more hints?

I had the same problem in the new Ephpod (2.7?). Wierd thing was, if I manually clicked on each playlist name in Ephpod before exiting, the showed up again on the Ipod. Probably a bug in the new Ephpod but you can always try it?

Same problem here. Everytime I save (I save twice, once before exit and another upon exit) and safely unplug the ipod, upon checking the pod, only the first playlist is there, with rest as blanks. Then, when i open ephpod again, all the playlists have vanished.

This has happened to me twice already, and since I use a LOT of album-based playlists, it is getting tiresome. Any ideas? I want to use .m3u playlists so I can just reload them if the ephpod playlists get wiped again. but i dont know how they work. Any ideas?

I read from other posts that we can simply do backup by directly copying files in your ipod drive:\iPod_Control directory. So I just backup the iPod_Control\Device and iPod_Control\iTunes directories. I don't know if this method can restore the playlists or not, I can only confirm that after I loose my playlists again next time.
