Frozen
What can I do to make that go away, aside from doing a reset that will wipe the memory right?

I've managed to load about 700 songs onto my player but just my luck its now frozen on the Do Not Disconnect Screen with the circle with the line in it.
What can I do to make that go away, aside from doing a reset that will wipe the memory right?

Ay. Not again. You have to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" button that is located in the Windows XP taskbar or the Apple Manager software to remove the iPod. Search the forum for more details. I was having the same problem with the "Do Not Disconnect" and the "no" symbol flashing even when I was done my transfer. So the way to get the iPod to stop the "Do Not Disconnect" message and eject safely is with the standard windows eject hardware button in the taskbar? Just clarifying that this is all that is required.
