Skipping

I ripped a lot of my CD's using Musicmatch and when I listened to a few of them on my Ipod (one out of every 200 songs), I noticed skipping. What could I attribute this to? Does this have to do with my CD's (they work fine in my cd player), my computer or my Ipod Musicmatch?

Do the songs also skip when you play them through your PC in MMJB? If so, it's MMJB. It's ripper/encoder is not known to be the best out there.

Most prefer either MC9 (using the LAME encoder) or EAC/LAME or CDex.
