Odd transfer behavior between iPOD and MC
I have recently configured MediaCenter 9 to work with my (3rd generation) iPOD. I'm finding the transferring of mp3s from my notebook to the iPOD very erratic.
If I select a group of files to transfer (using the "send to" function, or by dragging them and dropping them into the iPOD), a number of them will not transfer, with the error message "The following is a list of files that failed to transfer with an error code." (No error code is listed).
If I attempt to then individually download those same files, they will (abou 95% of the time) transfer without problem.
I've also tried transferring the same group of files, and each time different files will fail to transfer (with the same error message as above).
By going back and individually transferring the files one by one, I've managed to get about everything to transver over...but this certainly isn't the way things are supposed to work. Any ideas?

Hm...that's interesting. I've not experienced that. My first inclination would be to have you try syncing instead of manually uploading. To do that, just create a smartlist w/all the tunes you want (you can use Artist or Album rules or both to make it), then right click the iPod and select Synchronize.
See how that goes. It's a much better way to get files onto the iPod IMO.
If that fails, try to search your library for missing files. Click on File>Library>Update Library. Click the option to "Remove Media that Does Not Exist" It won't delete any files, just bad database records.
Last but not least, it could be a fireware card problem.
Oh, and to make things simple, what version of MC9 are you using. Make sure to get the latest 9.0 version. You can get it from their "Interact" forum. Click the Media Center 9 board. It should be the 2nd or 3rd post. I think they're up to 9.0.180 or higher.
You probably don't want to try the new 9.1 beta yet (until you're an expert ;)). It seems to work fine for me, but you never know.
Oh, and the new 9.1 looks SO cool.
