Transfer speed on mmjb

I'm using mmjb 7.5 that came with the 30 gig ipod and have 6 gig of mp3's. It took 23 minutes to do a complete synch. This seems pretty good to me but everyone talks about how fast ephod and mc9 are, I am wondering if I change programs how much faster would it be?

It will be faster no matter what program you switch to. I like MC9. Don't know how much you actually copied to your iPod, I'm guesseing 23 minutes was not for 30 gigs of tunes though.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I transfered 6 gb in 23 minutes. Which I think is about 4.5 mb per second. Right now it is not a big deal but as my library grows, speed is going to be more important.

Yeah, depending on your firewire card you should be able to get up to 8MB w/ephpod or MC9. Xplay somewhere near that as well.

I had the same problem, but I turned off Volume Leveling and Digital Enhancements in the iPod manager and things sped along. Try it.
