Is it poss to copy a playlist from my iPod to iTunes?

I recentley bought an external HD and moved my iTunes library over to it and in doing so managed to delete my playlists from iTunes. They are still on my iPod tho' as I've simply not updated it since(!!) as I'm loathe to loose my lovingly set up playlists.

I thought a piece of software like Xpod might do the trick but all those type of utilities seem to only grab the mp3 files from my iPod and I have only 6 songs of 23mb worth in mp3 format, all the rest is in AAC.

Possibly the answer is cloning my ipod but I don't really understand the thread abou tthis. All help/suggestions welcome
