Hi all. Battery never fully charges?

Hi all. Nice forum here. Nice site also :)

I bought my new 30gig iPod here in London this weekend. I have noticed some bugs which I think are software related.

Main bug is the fact that I can have the iPod in the dock for a LONG time (way more than 4 hours), but the battery charging meter just keeps on flashing. It never gets to the point where it tells me that the iPod is now fully charged. Anyone else have this?

I'm running OSX 10.2.6 (6L60) + iTunes 4.0 (106). If this changes i'll post an update...

Ok, so the iPod eventually charged fully. Might just be that fact that the battery is still new. Over time it should charge faster I guess. As soon as I Touch any buttons the iPOD will start charging again for about 2-3 minutes. So, 2 seconds of menu activity equals 2 minutes of 'charging'.

All in all I can say I am more than happy with this incredibly slick device. Just hope Apple fix the small bugs like short batt. life, alarm settings and the clicking sound between songs. (It might be they built the clicking sound in btw).

Well when you turn the charger on, I "fast charges" for 1 hour. This is putting quite alot of power into the battery.. So it then "trickle charges" the rest of the way, so the battery doesnt pop, and so it doesnt damage it if left on for days and days.

So thats why it takes 3 mins, cause of the "trickle charging".. If you got that well good. Dont listen if you dont. means nothing.
