Yes, this is a "story" but it's a Tip for Mac iPod users and should be here. Please don't move it again to "Ipod and Me" or whatever forum that is. :(

Where's that missing space?
I was reading a post about someone who was wondering where there Gigs went after deleting some songs of his/her iPod.

Well, here's some advice. I realized this myself. Has to do with emptying the Trash!! LOL

My brother wanted to put OS X on his Cube so he used my iPod to backup his files. [great little use btw]
After installing OS X, I copied his data onto his Desktop and then I deleted his Data off of my iPod.

Later that night, I plugged my iPod into my ibook. I noticed in iTunes that the numbers were not adding up. What was this space being taken up by? I opened the iPod in the Finer and there were the usual folders.

I finally realized that I didn't empty the trash on my brother's Cube!! So I plugged my iPod into the Cube and saw his Trash become instantly bloated.

So I emptied the trash and all was fine!!! I got my missing space back. Yay!!!

So Always remember kids to Empty your trash. Especially on someone else's computer. I was lucky he lived with me. I didn't have to wait to get back to another location just to empty the trash.
