Hi there,

I bought an ipod a few months ago and though I was a pc user loved it! Now my pc has since kicked the bucket and I bought a new Mac last weekend.

I have several observations that lead to questions.. I was playing around with my new mac a few days ago, trying to get used to it and updating software and without changing or formatting anything I plugged in my ipod. I noticed several things.

1. That it allowed me to use itunes and that I could drop songs into my ipod list without reformatting it.
2. That it became warm to the touch while in the dock.

So my questions are these...

1. Can I store my song library somewhere and pick it up again after reformatting my ipod for mac?
2. Can I ruin it by not reformatting it ?
3. Why did it become warm when sitting in the dock? thats not happened to me before..
