All songs in the iPod... now what if...

I'd like to know now that I've filled my iPod with all the songs I wanted, I'd like to back them all on my G4... how to do it? I'd like to erase all the songs on my HD and put only them in my iPod back on my G4 but I wonder how will they be placed and named too? Thanx.

Wow Knocturnal, 8 posts, and already you feel qualified to criticise us.

Adam didn't answer the question because he's a Windows user, and probably doesn't know the answer.

Apparently, you don't know the answer either?

Good thing one of us annoying mods is here to fill in the blanks.

TheMcBain,

You'll need to use a third-party utility to get songs off your iPod onto your G4. How the songs will be named, and where they will end up is dependant on the utility. I use PodMaster, which puts them wherever I tell it to, and it organzies them in Artist:Album:file.mp3 format.

Here is a link to a list of iPod utilities on VersionTracker: http://www.versiontracker.com/mp/new_search.m?productDB=mac&mode=Quick&OS_Filter=MacOSX&search=iPod&x=19&y=16
