Heres a weird iTunes/iPod problem

I'm having a weird iTunes/iPod issue that I just can't figure out. Any advice would be appreciated.

So I just got a new 30GB iPod, upgraded from my 20 GB. I have a playlist on iTunes called "iPod Playlist <today's date>" that contained all songs on my previous iPod. That way, when I got the new iPod, all I had to do was drag the songs from that playlist onto my iPod.

My iPod playlist (on iTunes) had 3386 songs on it.

When I transferred it to my iPod, it only listed 3385 songs.

I thought that was kinda peculiar. I did some searching around, figuring maybe it was a track with a "!" next to it. No luck. I figured maybe I just made a mistake somewhere, and Doug Adams (http://www.malcolmadams.com/itunes/) graciously volunteered to write a script helping me compare two playlists and spot the differences between the two.

Doug then suggested I try this excellent script (http://www.malcolmadams.com/itunes/scripts/scripts08.shtml#mirroripodplaylists) which will take an iPod playlist and mirror it in iTunes. So I create a playlist on the iPod containing all 3385 tunes and run the script.

When the script finished and produced the iTunes mirrored playlist, there were 3386 songs in it!

So what is going on with that extra track? Anybody have any ideas? I'm at a loss.

If you have iPhoto on your Mac the offender might be the "slideshow audio" inserted into iTunes by iPhoto. Since it is not quite tagged right it may have caused a mis-count. That is my best guess, and I am no expert.
