CCCloner iPod folder wont delete

I tried CCCloner to make a backup of my internal iBook hdd. So I read all the instructions and started the cloning process. If you look at the app, there's no way to tell how much space it requires. My 2Gen ipod ran out of space during the backup and then I decided to delete all the folders on the iPod except Calendar and Contacts. I have this Application folder stuck on the iPod taking up 3G of space and it won't let me delete it. I drag the folder from the ipod to the trash and get this. The error message says "The operation could not be completed because this item is owned by root."

Please how do I delete this folder to free up space again without having to format the drive. Thanks.

In "Finder"

Double-click to open your iPod
Click on the folder
type Command-I
In the Info box that opens up, look for the tab 'Ownership and Permissions' - open it
click the lock icon to unlock the permissions
change the Owner to you
Give everyone Read & Writer permissions

then delete the folder.

Thank you so much, even the simple things I forget at times. Can't believe I didn't recall that suggestion! Must be my workload this week.:D
