scrolling text on iPod while playing song
Not that this is a big deal, but why does the name of some songs scroll on the iPod screen while playing and others do not?
I figure it is a tagging issue with IDV3.2, but I am not sure what it is. These are all CDs that I ripped using my PowerMac and iTunes. So, the Mac created all of the tagging entries.
Any help would be appreciated.

If the length of a song name does not fit on a single line on the display, the name will automatically scroll.
Check your song names for extra spaces at the end of the name.

All this time I thought the scrolling text was a feature... ;)
If you want to shorted your song names to stop the scrolling, have a look at some of these AppleScripts (http://www.malcolmadams.com/itunes/scripts/scripts09.shtml) - see if any of the will remove characters from the ends of track names. If you do this, it'll change them for good, though.

yup, that nailed it -- spaces at the end of a few songs.
