Continuous Battery Charging

Hi all,

I got my 30gb a couple of days ago (how much do I love it!!!!!! :D :D :D ). Everything works fine but everytime I plug it into the machine to put some new albums on it the battery starts charging. Last night I left it overnight in the dock and this morning it had the "charged" screen showing. Then when I plugged it into the powerbook to dld more albums the little lightning bolt appeared and it's charging again.

IS this continual drip charging affecting battery performance? Is there any way I can plug in without charging??

cheers

The Charging Status is believed to just be a 4hour timer. iPod's battery isn't affected by overcharging because charging stops once the battery is full of charge. No worries mate.

Yep, vkeks05's right.

For some great information on lithium ion batteries (like those in iPod), check out this post in the old forums ( http://www.xsorbit1.com/users/dennx/index.cgi?board=ipodgeneral&action=display&num=1033203054&start=0#4).
