iPod Advice

Hi, I'm new to the iPodlounge. I'm not sure if this is the right forum. I received a 3rd generation 15 GB iPod for Father's Day gift. Initially my plan was to purchase a 5GB iPod from eBay. I have a G4 400mhz running Mac Os 9.2.2 and do not plan on downloading songs from Apple's music site. Should I keep the 15GB and upgrade to Os 10 or return it and get the 5 GB iPod? Everything is running smoothly on 9.2.2 and I'm afraid of any extension conflicts if I upgrade to Os 10. any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

shouldn't have a problem, keep your existing set-up until you wanna upgrade. the ipod should work as good under 9.2 as it does under 10.2
