Cant install 1.3 iPod Installer after installing 2.0

I've searched Apple and here to see if anyone can help me. I was setting up a new iPod for an uncle of mine. I installed the iPod 2.0 installer. After I was done, I decided to pick up an iPod for myself. I got a re-furbed Windows unit from Apple. When I tried to install 1.3 so that I can restore it to a Mac iPod, I get an error message saying that a newer version is already installed. I don't want to start removing files from the System file and elsewhere without knowing what I'm doing.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Did you keep the 1.3 installer on your Mac's drive? You're going to have to do a complete restore to format it to a Mac iPod.

I believe if you drag the 2.0 iPod Updater's icon to the trash can, you will be able to install the 1.3 iPod Updater.

You can always download the 2.0 Updater later from Apple if you need it.
