Why the $&%* did this happen?!

I decide to make ALL of my songs on itunes louder , sop i chose them all and on multile info i put them upto top volume, when it had finished, it had changed EVERY artists name with a dash, so now I have to go through each one and put the artist name in (THIS SUCKS),

has this happened to anyone else,

no. you obviously (accidentally) put a dash in the artist field as you were changing the volume and then hit "ok".

simple error, but don't blame your mistake on the software.

You're not having much luck with your iPod overall are you iPodKing.

square got it spot on i think, that's what i thought had happened too.

One other thing, remember in my posts explaining to you on how to 'up the volume', i said move it upto 120%, 140% or 160% tops, any more and you'll notice it's distorting the sound. I wouldn't make it 200% if i were you.

Good luck.

Well it's still not working then, cause you'd really notice the difference if it was.

I'd suggest making a new thread on the Mac General board saying 'iPod/iTunes doesn't remember my setting' and see if someone else comes along who could help you out, cause i have no idea. It worked first time for me.

Any changes will only be noticible through the headphone jack; you can't affect the sound coming out of the line out/docking jack. Is that the problem?

Nah i don't think that's his problem, from what he was saying in the other thread, it doesn't even save the change he makes, so when he looks again right after, the volume is set back at 100% (right iPodKing?).

I've been through the process 3 or 4 times in another thread, and i'm at a total loss as to why it's not working for him. The annoying thing is, i bet it's something really simple hehe.

It probably is something really simple, oh well I'll die before I give up trying; I am not beaten yet
