I've been all over the Apple site on this one, and wondered if anyone had any idea... Are they using the latest versions of cds for the Itunes music store, or not?

I went to Peter Gabriel's area, and since all of his cds have been remastered, I expect all the latest in sound quality. However: I believe only 2 releases, actually have the (remastered) label... Is this an oversight, or do they have the old and the new mixed?

This is a deal breaker for me if I'm paying for old, compressed, inferior rips.

Does anyone know their policy?
