Just got my sparkling new 30gb ipod, oh joy my feet havnt touched the ground since, the only slight problem is that every so often after my ipod has been updated one or two tunes get an exclamation mark in the first normally blank column and itunes says this song does not exist and i search everywhere an i cant find the #### things. Iv just updated all my cd collection into aac and located them in itunes music folder.

This seems to be a common enough problem. It has been discussed here before. iTunes "forgets" where the files are, even though they are alive and well on your computer. There doesn't seem to be any common denominator. I thought that files ripped by other software might be a leading contributor -- stuff I had ripped with SoundJam in the last century seem susceptible -- but it's not consistent. Re-associating the tracks with the "missing" files is a chore, but there's not much that can be done about it, apparently.
