Exporting iTunes2 Playlists to iTunes4? (Mac)
Hello!
I just got a new Powerbook for use at work (woooHOO!), which means I can finally break free from OS9. And that, of course, means moving all my music from OS9 to OSX. I figured out how to move the music, but one problem has me stumped:
How do I import my old playlists from iTunes2 for OS 9 into iTunes4 for OS X?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

2 things you cna try:
1. Copy your iTunes 2 Music Library File to your new Powerbook, and put it in the folder where your iTunes 4 Music Library File is. Move the iTunes 4 Library file. Open iTunes 4. See if it sees the Library file and recognizes it. If it doesn't, try importing it. If it does, you should see your songs with little exclamation points next to them in the Library browser. Open Preferences and switch your Library Folder back to the one it should be on your new Powerbook. iTunes should look for all your songs and tell itself their correct location.
If this doesn't work, close iTunes, trash the Library file you put in the folder and the one iTunes 4 made to replace the one you moved. Then drag the original iTune 4 Library file back to its proper location, and open iTunes - all should be as it was before you started.
2. Open iTunes 2. Select a playlist. Go to "Export Song List" under "Advanced". It'll spit out an ugly file filled with garbeldygook and playlist info. Copy this to your new powerbook, and import it (once your songs have been moved, of course).
