Import/Ripping questions

1 - Am I right in thinking that you can now rip and import CDs directly to the ipod in a one step process now, instead of ripping to HD, then copying to ipod?
2 - Any idea when itunes will be available for Windows?

You can, but you need to install Doug Adams' AppleScript Rip to iPod ( http://www.malcolmadams.com/itunes/scripts/scripts08.shtml#riptoipod) to do it.
