See my update to this message posted 9/26. Lajo refunded me the money for the bad Maclear case. Good customer service and flexibility.
I was pretty disappointed with the fit of the Mac Clear Zip case for my 30g iPod. The holes for the controls stand about 1/4" above the hold button and the zipper was quite hard to close. Plus I had to wait forever for it to be delivered.
Well the piece of you know what zipper just broke...you know when the zipper part separates from one side as you zip a zipper closed. HUGE disappointment especially since I can't find the one that came with the iPod and I'm going on vacation cross-country on Saturday. Leaving me 3 days to get a new case. Of course that's not an easy task since most good cases are only available on the web. Looks like I'm going to have use plastic wrap. ARGHHHH!!!!
DON'T BUY THE MAC CLEAR ZIP CASE!!!

I know problems with something you buy are the main cause of heart burn etc. I am the same way with whatever I buy. The zipper I am working on, TPU zippers have never been seen before here in China and I am sure in the world. Problems, yes but this case is going to stay and be one of the best cases you can buy. I use a zip case on my phone, to keep may passport protected and on my iPod when factory hoping. I have gotten around the zipper problem by learning how to close it without damaging it but that will be history soon because of the new zippers I am working on. So now the question is how can I make you feel a little better about this disappointment?

I wrote an email to you in addition to posting here. You replied that I can "fix" the zipper by bringing it back to the begining position and the slowly zipping it. Well that doesn't work since the zipper is totally off one of the zipper tracks.
I frankly don't know how you can make me feel better aside from not selling the product any more until the known problems are worked out in your new version. I wouldn't buy another one even if you promised that the manufacturing problems were solved. I'm sorry to be so strong. I would only recommend better product testing before shipping out to customers. I work as a producer for children's software/educational toys. We don't release any products with bugs that crash the product. The zipper issue with the Maclear is a huge bug and should not have been released.
Obviously shipping my useless cover back to you for a refund isn't really cost affective since the case cost me $14.
BTW, I was going to buy an eXo iSkin once I had money in my buget to purchase a new case. Now that I'm forced to do this sooner, and since I have experienced the problems with the Maclear, I'm very hesitant to buy another product from you.

Send me a photo of the damage and where you bought it from and when you bought it and I will refund your money, no need to send it back.

I had the same problem with mine. Ok let me see if I can help here. Inside the maclear case along the bottom zipper there is actually a small overlapping piece of plastic. Did your zipper get caught in that? Its kinda hard to see cause its flushed with the bottom flap. Cause mine did and all I did was yank it out and now it works fine.
I can guarantee you that the exo is a much better product and you won't find any flaws with it. A great great case IMO.

I am committed to make the zip case all that you expect it to be, give me a little time. To give you a little background the zip case came about because I needed a case that was strong, thin, easy to clean and easy to put in my pocket. When I am in the factory everyone wants to touch and hold my iPod. One time my employee came back from the mold makers and my iPod hard oil stains all over the control wheel, the mold makers had it in their hands for 5 minutes and they ruined my iPod and I was determined to resolve that problem and started to research how to do it. PVC was introduced to me, I like the idea but not the material then I discovered TPU that resulted in zip and now the daily task of making it the best that it can be. You should see how nicely it works on iBook

Any word on the ETA for the new zip case that comes with the exo Lajo?
I'm holding off buying an exo as I think you said that it would be released pretty soon.

The new zip will undergo a number of changes, the first one will be this week, we have some cases that arrived today but I do not know if the are the new ones or the previous design. The new ones will have the zip improvement, then the new softer TPU 0.3mm.

3rd gen iPod scratch if air flows over them, get use to it, it something you will have to live with..

the tight fit is an issue, but patience pays off. I thought mine didn't fit my 2 g, but the next day it slipped on. of course, it was not fun, and actually it was alot of work, but it was worth it. I don;t have an issue with it and i believe it's the best case you can buy right now.

This is a follow-up to my first post. Lajo should be congratulated for good customer service. He did as he said and refunded the money for the faulty Maclear. I've since ordered an iSkin from his site.
