New ipod and dior case
Hi,
I am new here, but certainly not new to the ipod. I am thinking about getting a new ipod, but am also wodering how much thicker the 30 gig one is compared to the 20 gig one.
Also, magazines keep taunting me with the dior ipodcase, and i really want one, but don't know where to get it, and wether they are planing to make a new one with the buttons.

The 20GB iPod is 0.84 inches in depth, while the new 30GB iPod is 0.73 inches thick.

That is an image comparing the new 15GB, old 10GB, and old 20GB. It should give you an idea of the difference as the new 30GB is only 0.11 inches thicker than the new 15GB pictured on the left.

Welcome to the lounge, and congrats on your iPod purchase!
Indeed, the 20GB iPod is 0.84 inches in depth, while the new 30GB iPod is 0.73 inches thick, respectively. Holding the two, the thickness is fairly noticable (to me). I would hold off on the dior case until they release an update for the new iPods.

that dior case is a joke...whoever buys that is a serious fashion slave. If Gucci makes an iPod case i am gonna go postal...
