You can remove it very easy with something sharp.
Did it break from normal use?

The loop is mean to protect your iPod from an accidental fall it is not strong enough to be use to hand your iPod from. I really wanted the loop to be used for an earing or some decorative artistic hanging. I have a friend in Toronto Canada who made the most interesting miniture mirrors with beading hanging from it, I wanted to find people in China who are artistic enough to create some individual pieces that would be offered to those that wanted something a little different. This I will extend into my limited edition cases made from leather, metal, beading ect.

yeah it pretty much wore itself off, from daily use for the past two months. my normal routine is to listen to it on the way to work in the car, then have it in my pocket the rest of the day while i'm going about. most of the stress was put on it vertically, so the stress points were front to back on each side of the loop. gradually it wore until a crack started to form on the silicone, and it went from there.

update: i used my xacto and everybody's right, the rest of the silicone came off like butter.

My loop on my caribbean is starting to tear off, I think it looks kinda cool, but who cares in the long run...lol
