Cutting Iskin Belt Holder
Personally after a month of waiting (very annoying, said "in stock" and in the meantime... many scratches major and minor) but... anyway I find the metal thing on the back VERY annoying, didn't even know about it. I guess I should have checked more pictures. I only use in my pocket, case is just general scratch protection and easier to grip... basically I tried to pop it out but it seems the metal thing is embedded. Anyone removed it??
I'm thinking just of pushing it out, then cutting it out of the embedding.

Did you unscrew the extended metal piece, or do you just want all of the metal gone?

all you have to do is unscrew it. that thing annoyed me too but i just took a screwdriver, gave it a little twist, and it was out. it will lay flay on the table and doesnt bother you in your pocket then!

It seems that there is a fair number of people that do not want a belt clip. I may consider making cases without a belt clip and ones with a removable belt clip. When you unscrew the metal stub the height of the silicone is almost the same as the 2 legs at the back, does this mean that those that do not want the belt clip also do not want the 2 legs stub at the back?

I think that the removed belt clip stub + 2 legs should stay for cooling purposes. I bet it is beneficial to have that extra mil or 2 for when people don't listen to Apple's directions, and charge/sync with the case on.

I'm not too sure why it is such a big deal, when that nub is unscrewed I don't see it getting in the way.
Maybe an ultra slim case would benifit those who carry their iPod in their pocket (without a belt clip nub). Can you make a thinner iSkin exo without it being too thin to stretch? I'm just thinking if you made ice in a super thin form it would look awesome. Just a thought.

Just a bit difficult to stuff into your pants pocket. Removing the little dimples might improve things slightly. Though, the silicone material is just so *tactile/grippy*, nothing may actually help this issue.
Very nice to hold in your hand, but there are times when it just needs to be tucked into a pocket. :)

The two rubber studs are hardly noticeable. Does that mean you would have to make two totally different molds. One for a case with a clip and another for without? I'll really like to see a kick ### clip on the back of these. I think the holes on the back look cool back weaken the belt clip stability.

Yes it would mean that I would have to have 2 seperate molds but only the bottom mold, stock is more of an issue because I have about 45 colors already
It looks that way but the clip is very stable this silicone is Tough with a capital T
I am working on a kick ### belt clip and on a case for extreme sports.

Can't wait to try it out. I've been impressed with the inCase iPod belt, but I'd still like to give your solution a try.

I don't use the belt clip, and have no problem with the case the way it is. The remainder of the clip inside doesn't bother me. I think its a great design, really adds to the ipod. The silicon adds grip to the ipod and protects it well. I already have two, and I'm sure I'll get more.
