iskin exo fix touch-button problem??
I'm about to order my 3G ipod. I've read all over the forums that the new touch-button design makes it very difficult to not hit buttons by accident.
I was under the impression that the iskin eliminates this problem because of how thick it is. The holes that go around the buttons provide protection enough so that the buttons aren't randomly pressed.
I did hear from someone else, however, that these holes are not as reliable as they sound. He says that he has to jam his fniger int he hole and move it around a bit to actually gett he button pressed. "The cure was more deadly than the disease" apparently. He ended up returning the iskin because it was so annoying.
Can anyoine please report their findings with this case?

It probably depends on the conductivity of your fingers, or perhaps how fat your fingers are. Both my iSkin and my PodPaqNappa recess the buttons, and both help to prevent inadvertent button presses.

well I don't have fat fingers. You don't find ANY problem or annoying inconvenience pressing the buttons?

no problems here!

It will cut down on the accidental button pushing, but it really does come down to the size of your fingers.
I have showed these to many people and really only had one person that would have had trouble accessing the controls. If you have larger fingers you may just need to use a different finger than you normally would.
To me the iSkin is absolutely necessary as the buttons are too easy to push and without a case the ipod is like a wet bar of soap. Way to hard to hang onto.

I do have problems with the buttons and I don't think my fingers are big!!! Sometimes I have to slip my finger under the case to be able to make it work, a real pain...
I also think that the case is too thick and covers up the iPod beauty!Sometimes I take away the case to remeber how the iPod really looks like...it's so much beautiful without a case...

This variation in case sizes sounds like the product of another start-up company.
Anyways. next question. Is the iskin better/worse/the same as specks case? Speck's at least has a flap at the bototm so that you can dock it while the case is still on. If I'm correct, I don't think you can dock the ipod with the iskin on, right?

Both the speck case and the iSkin a good cases. They are just made by different vendors and materials.
The iskin offers a much tighter fit, and does allow you to dock the ipod by sliding the bottom part of the skin back over the bottom of the ipod. The iskin along with the tight fit offers a huge selection of colors to fit your style or mood.
The speck case is made from different product and does allow you to flip open the bottom of the case. When in the dock it covers up most of the scroll wheen. The speck case only offers the one size so it is border line loose on the smaller ipods.
From my use the speck skin is a little thicker material, so if you are worried about finger size I think you might have more trouble with the speck case.
But it really comes down to personal style and choice.

You can, by pulling the case back.
However, many people on this board believe that the iPod should be removed from any case while syncing/charging, and I am one of them (so is Apple; check the user manual). That's why I'm using the PodPaqNappa, which is very easy to remove.
