White Frost / Ice / Snow confusion
Sorry if this seems a little elementary, but here goes...
I have a White Frost iSkin, my brother has a Snow. Both were ordered from the Think Different Store at the same time. When I heard about the new "Ice" color, I was very curious to just how clear it would be. However, when I looked at the iSkin photos on allabouttheaccessories.com, the picture labeled as "Ice" is the exact same color as my "White Frost" iSkin! Also, the picture labeled "Snow" is the same as my brother's Snow iSkin. Which iSkin color do I actually have, and should I call it Ice or White Frost? The White Frost picture on allabouttheaccessories.com is almost like a hybrid between my almost-clear iSkin and my brother's snow--it's just slightly translucent, while mine is more clear than opaque.
Any help on clearing up this matter would be appreciated.

Theoretically, here's how it goes.
Ice: No pigment. Only thing that contributes to opacity is silicone's natural properties.
White Frost: A bit of white pigment giving the silicone a noticeable white tint, and decreased translucence (I've heard it described as "Milk Gallon White")
Snow: Saturated with pigment. Solid, opaque white.
That being said, however, I get the impression some were mis-sold, as the confusion between the 3 (especially ice and white frost) was fairly widespread among consumers (and some retailers, I believe) prior to only a few weeks ago.

Yeah, az_dude, I think you're right. My White Frost is definitely not milk-gallon white. Oh well, it's fine with me--I actually like the clear look better.

I'll chime in here. I have white frost which I got from iskin.com and ice which I got from Lajo. From what I can tell they are exactly the same colours. So I guess one of two things iskin.com sent me ice when they said it was white frost or white frost and ice aren;t all that different in colour.

iSkin.com has their own name for colors, I understand that Jack O will be under a different name on their site, maybe their replacement for fusion.

Here is a quick comparison photo.
I cut and pasted them next to each other in one photo.
These cases were all purchased from Lajo as he has described.
You can see the biggest difference if you look at the top corners and around the buttons. Otherwise in these pictures the white areas kind of look alike.

prettymuch
ice is clear, frost is 50% clear% white, and snow is white. Thats all there is to know. but whats interesting is that so many people want white pods or clear pods. Get a unique color like fiji. Lajo probably hasn't sold one!

Everyone has to start with one of the original looks and then venture off into lajo color mania heaven - 55 colors and counting...

Hey Lajo, how is the Titanium color coming along? Is it translucent? It would be nice to have an iPod that sorta matches my Powerbook...:)
# 9 Re: White Frost / Ice / Snow confusion
I have it in 2 shades but have to work out some material flow problems. This titanium is special no translucent look, it looks like molten titanium and aluminum
