Best case for me??
I'm trying to figure out the best case for my iPod 3gen 15GB. I had a 2nd gen iPod with an xtremeMac case and I don't want to repeat the same mistakes.
First of all, I really like the size of my iPod, so I don't want anything that'll make it much larger. The xtremeMac case for my old ipod made it too big and bulky.
Second, the plastic on xtremeMac case really smudged up the face of my old iPod. I couldn't even get it out with brasso.
third, no belt clip. I just want something rugged enough to throw in my pocket.
4, stylish. I don't want to be embarrased when I pull out the ipod.

The Vaja Leather cases look pretty stylish, but they are friggin expensive ($60 or 70?). I say the iSkin eXo cuz they really don't add too much bulk to the ipod and they preserve the look of the ipod (and you can choose the color you want). The belt clip is removable.

Yeah, the vaja cases look really cool, but a little too rich for my blood. My problem with the iSkin is the colors. I'm not too big on fluorescents. I'm tempted to get the macclear because it keeps the look of the iPod, and it adds almost no bulk to it. But the few reviews I've seen haven't been the best.

You don't like the iSkin's colors? Dang, dude... there's like 30 of 'em, including Opaque White-- which *really* preserves the look. If I were to get an iSkin, I'd definitely get solid white, cause I'm like you-- I like the existing look of the iPod.
BTW... the MaClear offers just barely more than *zero* protection. ;-) from scratches, maybe, but that's it.

awww maybe it's time to start gettin into whacky and crazy colors :)
