questions about MACLEAR and ISKIN

can anyone with the maclear or maclear 2 and iskin cases answer a few questions? It's very hard to get info, when just a few decent photos of the product would cease confusion...

Anyhow, here goes:

1. Can the maclear selling for $10 (NOT maclear 2 that comes free with the iskin) fit INSIDE an iskin exo? Obviously it can't fit AROUND an iskin exo since it is a snug fit.

2. Since the maclear 2 fits AROUND the iskin exo (it is bigger), but doesn't have holes for headphones, is maclear 2 just for storing your iskinned ipod / storing your cables? You wouldn't use it when using your ipod right?

Also, the beltclip stud would stick out, so how can you put the iskin ipod in the maclear 2 case?

3. The picture at http://www.applelinks.com/pages/ebay/bott/iskin-exo/eXo_bonus.gif shows the belt clip system. You don't have to buy it right? ($2.50)

Also, the belt clip is removeable, but is the metal stud on the back of the iskin itself removable to make it FLAT? Or can I purchase the iskin without the beltclip and beltclip stud like I can with the $10 maclear? I just want a FLAT back iskin without any belt clip stuff sticking out at all.

4. Some people said that the Asphalt colour iskin shows a lot of dust you get on it... Asphalt is solid black isn't it? Wouldn't the white frosted/solid iskins show even MORE dust? It's white after all.

5. No one has the screen protector yet, is this correct?

Umm. I'll answer your last question:

5. Yes, that is correct.

That's all I can answer. Haha.

Hi

I hope my answers help

1- My iPod was stolen from out booth at Macworld so I'm going by memory with this answer. The Maclear can fit inside the eXo, however it does not fit perfectly. The 4 button holes are a little stretched.

2-Correct. Its purpose is to store you headphones/cables, but it can also be used for added protection when not using your iPod. You can do this by removing the belt clip from the eXo iskin.

You could use this case if you left the zipper open a little bit so that there was room to plug the headphones in. Since it is bigger than the $10 maclear it does not fit as snug.

3- No you do not have to pay extra, the belt clip is included in the price.

You can removed the 'Stud' from the eXo, but the hardware that houses the 'stud' can not be removed.

If you look at this image
http://www.applelinks.com/pages/ebay/bott/iskin-exo/exo2.jpg

the middle photo shows the slightly raised hardware and the 'stud' attached to it. Only the 'stud' can be removed. it can always be attached again later.

4-All of the iSkins collect dust and lint. When this happens just take your iPod out of the iSkin and wash it in the sink. It has been my experience that the more times i wash it the less dust it collects.

5- No one has the screen protectors yet.

Everyone involved is working hard to get the screen protectors finished. No one is in a bigger rush to get the screen protectors than we are. The fact is that life happens and things do not always go as planned. They will be here soon enough.

I'm guessing this is due to the fact that you're washing off any last residue of the mold-release agent? I had a similar thing with a colorimeter for a monitor I have. Anyway, I think it's silly to complain about getting the iSkin dirty. After all, isn't that what it's for? And doesn't it wash right off?
