iPod armor DOES NOT FIT 3Gs

i just received my iPod Armor case friday. it's a nice case, very sturdy, would protect my ipod very well. foam inside is nice, openings on top seem like they'll line up.
but unless i'm willing to take a metal file to my 15G (dock connector) ipod (ack!) there's no way it's gonna fit in there!
it's about a half cm too tall for the case. the case seems like it will be a little to deep, too, but that's easily fixable with a little extra foam or something.
the website lies! if you have a 1G or 2G, this seems like a good way to really protect your ipod. if you have a 3G, walk away :(

I am pretty sure they have different versions for 3g's, it has less thick foam, try emailing them, they have great customer support.

ya, i did that, we'll see what they say.
it's not a foam problem, in this situation, tho. the physical size of the aluminum frame will not allow a 3G ipod to fit.

do you have a little piece of white plastic on the bottom, if so you got the ones for 1g ipods. i sent mine back because thinkdifferent store made that mistake. they sent a new one back immediately and it the returned one had no proof of purchase, no offical packaging or box and they sent me a brand new one. just call them and they give you a number and u pay shipping.

yup, you guys are right, there are two!!
i have the one with the white plastic lip on the bottom, apparently the new version does not have that and fits the 3G very well.
i take back any disappointed sentiment on my part towards halfkeyboard.com, makers of the iPod Armor. they are great! They promptly replied to my email and even suggested they may be able to exchange it for me, even tho i purchased it from a third party!! how cool is that? definitely great customer service...
i'm going to go rattle my vendor's chain, see why there were linking me to the wrong description. but the iPod Armor gang - very cool . nothin but love! :D

received a reply from my vendor, they're going to take it back no problem (thankfully).
after my excellent experience with the iPod Armor folks, i'm definitely going to buy one (the correct one!) from them.
guess i'm learned my lesson - should post on ipodlounge before i buy... :D
