Fusion (glow)... this will be my second case for my 30 GB iPod. My current case is the DLO NeoPod.

I preordered the white frost case for my new 10GB, it better get here pretty soon!

I think we can conclude that in general, iPod fanatics like to preserve its look with white frost.

However, I figured I would feel unsatisfied with a case that didn't make my Pod look ANY different whatsoever...so I got bubble gum. :) It will make me happy!

As far as I know, it will not ship until next Monday.

The law is (keeping in mind different jursidictions - consult your local attorney for clarification) that a company must send the product within 72 hours of charging your card, unless prior arrangement is made with the customer. We all agreed that we understood we'd get it WHEN it shipped (pre-order), so the company is handling this legally. If they had instead stated that they had them in stock, then there would be an issue.

As a note, I have used this law to my benefit with some unscrupulous dealers. I paid for items and overnight shipping, charged, and no product for 30 or 45 days. Even with recalcitrant vendors, the threat of legal action is enough to make them hop-to. Here in the Commonwealth of Virginia, we have a consumer advocacy department that reports into the attorney general - and they are NOT shy about hammering miscreants.

I ordered blue mist for the 30GB. I wasn't going to but free shipping and the maClear case pushed me over the edge.

Part of me wanted to order a keyboard cover at the same time. Anyone have a keboard cover from them?

if i didn't get the email and i ordered like 3 days after it was announced, what does it mean?

I just preordered a 10/15 frost white iSkin, and will be returning my Speck skin.

Can't wait to get it.

I just ordered mine today, and my confirmation email says it will ship "late July, 2003".

I just got this email:
"Due to an unexpected delay, your order will be shipped out early next week.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for
understanding."

Maybe there is more of a delay with certain colours? I think blue mist is a popular one so maybe those are on more of a backorder than more uncommon colours. That's my guess anyway. You guys have to post when you start receiving them!

Unless they made a lot of white frost, expecting them to be big sellers.

I got the misty blue one.

I called iskin yesterday and had a little chat. They have all cases and colors in stock and are ready to ship out. However the screen protectors have had a delay in shipping and therefore the cases will not be shipped out until the screens come in. After finding this info out I then emailed the creator at www.lajo.biz and asked for his side of the story. He basically stated the same as the other guy but offered to send me my case without the screen protector while also knocking off $5. Since the protector is worth it to me I replied saying I would wait until they are shipped. Hope this clears some things up.

hhmm, I sent them several emails last week with questions and no replies... They have already taken my money but it seems they don't respond to emails.

I am tempted to try to cancel the order since the booq case looks awesome!!

Um.. the Booq cases ship after the iSkin cases.

I ordered the LaRouge.

I bought a white frost one from the think different store booth at the macworld expo. It's very nice, fits great. The hold switch is kind of hard to access, but I have long nails so it's not a problem. Also, it only came with a belt clip, no "shades" or maClear.

What store are you guys ordering from. I ordered one a couple of weeks ago, and never received a confirmation. I have been emailing them all week about it, but they don't reply. It was thinkdifferent. I think I will try another store.

Agreed, also removing the case for docking allows dirt and dust in. I guess we'll see how tough it is when I have one in my hands, but I for one won't be using the dock with it. The case will protect the bottom of the iPod so I can just lay it flat on the table and connect the firewire cable directly.

I ordered one from the thinkdifferent store but haven't heard anything. I sent them an email asking about ETA, but didn't get a response.

Anyone have any info from this particular store for these cases?

Just for my own enjoyment, I contacted Iskin (Tel. 416-924-9607). As we all know they are saying there was a delay with the shipment of the Iskin due to a manufacturing problem with the screen portectors.

They added that they SUSPECT they will "receive" the screen protectors by eithere this Firday or next Monday. They will ship then soon after. No definites.

I still haven't even taken my Ipod out of the box because of this! I need protection!! :eek:

Just received an email from Think Different, where I pre-ordered my Iskin exo, they are shipping it out, without the screen protector. The exact message was: THE SCREEN PROTECTOR WILL BE SHIPPED TO YOU AS SOON AS IT ARRIVES. Sorry for the delay.

So, I should have it in 2-3 days, sans the screen protector.

In all fairness, Joe at Thinkdifferent was trying to accommodate me, as I am leaving for a two week vacation Sat, and really needed the case. They really want to be shipping next week when the production screen protectors are in stock. He is sending me a prototype they had to get me by.
