Anyone use the Ipod armor w/ new ipods?

I was looking into this case and wanted to know what people thought. It appears that they redesigned the case to fit the new ipods. Is the cover really that hard to keep opening?

I want one, but not until (if ever) they put a hard plastic window in for the display. I like to see what's being played especially in random mode. Now if the remote had an lcd that displayed the same info as the ipod screen, then this case would be perfect as is.

I bought an iPod armour for my ipod. It is quite nice, and I don't find it that hard to open. The only problem with it is that the top of the ipod will rub against the plastic top and does leave some scratches. Not a big deal but it does do so. It is also kind of a ##### to take the ipod out of the case since it is such a tight fit.

I'm happy, now I dont have to walk on eggshells and can bash it against things without worry.

I placed an order about 8 days ago. It is on its way to Australia and should be here antime. Once I get it in my paws, I will post my comments after fitting my 30GB into it..
A colleague at work has an older 10GB iPod and the Armour and I have to say that the name of the product is most apt - the aluminium shell is lighter than expected and I cant think of a better way to protect the delicate iPod.
I'm not quite sure what changes Mathias have done to the armour besides loosening the hinges, will just have to wait and see.

As others have mentioned, I just wish they had a perspex/clear section , so one could view the iPod's screen.

cheers

It arrived and fater a day of using it, here are my thoughts...

My 30GB iPod fits VERY tightly and it is fairly hard to remove it from the case. There is a small piece of plastic that is attached to the case with 3 small screws, I might loosen this a bit. Mathias (the manufacturer) mentioned that it would be easier after a period of usage. Fingers crossed. Another gripe is the lack of a clear plastic/plexiglass area so when the lid is closed, one can see the iPod's screen, that would make this product a real winner.

Besides that , I dont have any faults, this product will suit my lifestyle and needs almost perfectly. The build is solid and reassuring, it is also much lighter than I expected and doesnt overtly corrupt the iPods form factor. I dont find the lid tight; it was easy to open and close.

Finally, for anyone in Australia using the courier delivery option, expect it to take a few days longer than the estimate of 6 working days. I ordered on the 6th , Mathias shipped it on the 7th and it arrived yesterday 19th.
