Best case for a 2nd Gen 10 Gig MacPod?

I'm getting a new one this Friday and after hearing all the stories about it being a scratch magnet, need a new case asap.

I'd like one of those transparent ones since I'd like it to be white like the Unit, kind of like those rubber cases? Are they any good? I need to be able to access the wheel and see the screen even with the case on, but hopefully not add much bulk.

I guess a screen protector would be good also? Do they make premade ones or should I buy a PDA one and cut it?

If you want to go with a pda-style protector, I would say use masking tape. I shelled out $20 for a pack of screen protectors (for palm Vx which you have to cut) and it works allright, but after using clear masking tape it is much better. It is a bit more permanent than a screen protector (though today I just removed the tape and it is definately removable and leaves no residue) and you cannot tell it is there, unlike with a PDA protector, which has a gritty surface (compared to crystal clarity of masking tape).

Do you mean a 2nd or 3rd gen?

If it's a 2nd gen iPod, then I recommend the extremeMac case. No, it's not see through, but it offers great protection, looks good (leather) and is made well.

Add to that it offers complete access to the controls while still protecting the screen.

It's a 2nd gen (solid state wheel), but I don't want a black leather case, I want something like a transparent rubber type case which shows off the looks of the unit too.
