No, Apple products were never intended to be "cute". Function has always dictated form, despite older products having unconventional colors.

hmm. This is probably a bad time to mention that I not only have an indigo iMac, but an indigo Zip drive, a Kensington mouse with indigo accents...an indigo desk lamp...and an indigo case for my iPod. Yep.
Oh, and my microwave is indigo too. So is my lamp on my dresser.
So sue me if I like blue. ;)

and maybe metallic red all over -that would be really sexy!!
in fact when i imagine it in any whacky colour it is still really beautiful so it wouldnt really matter - even brown or gray would look cool!
