Still "sharing?"

Do you morpheus/kazaa/winmx/etc users still share (allow people to download songs FROM you)?

Same poll is going on here ( http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3407) . This one should probably be locked.

no read my topic carefully. my question is how many people still let people upload from them. that poll is to find out how many people still use these programs.

no. there's a big difference between downloading and allowing people to download from you. one is continung to do something at no risk, and the other is to be generous while at a risk from the RIAA.

What he's asking is if any of you still allow UPLOADS. I misread the question the first time and thus voted incorrectly.

I have never allowed people to upload from myself, though I download files.

i think the only way we can keep the system efficient is to allow people to upload from you. if i ever get a mob of feds outside my door i can say that i only have the files on my computer as a backup for my ipod, because most of my music i bought on cds and ripped, and that i didnt know it would share it if i went on kazaa

if you own the CDs that you have the mp3s of, that's legal. however, if you don't own the CDs, and you have hundreds in mp3s in your kazaa, it's pretty obvious that you're getting them from other people.

I readl that feds r looking for people sharing really large amounts of music. One student got arrested and he was sharing 150.000 files. If u share 500 files i dont think they will care.Soo keep on sharing. The music industrie wont win.

if they sue you, thats like 10,000-15,000 a song. I don't share, I just take. As soon as I get my ipod (in mail) im going to drain all my kazaa files onto it, then delete them. But I still want free music, so Im going to download and upload then delete. Its an easy way to get out of the way.
