ipod wet dream

Knew the title would catch your eye!

Anyways, hello, this is my first real post on the iPod forum (!). I am starting this topic for a number of reasons. However, I would first like to inform y'all of my current iPod status. About three days ago, I recieved an e-mail that Apple would be delaying their Pod shipments until the 19th of June. This would, however, be unacceptable-- I am moving from Massachussetts to Albuquerque, New Mexico and would most likely not be able to recieve the shipment (as 2nd day usually takes more than 2 days to arrive). Therefore, I was faced with two options- wait anxiously for the Pod to arrive, or cancel my online order and go to the Apple Store. To my dismay, this would require forfeiting the educational discount I would have recieved from the Internet order. Anyways, that was my status yesterday. Now, onto the dream.

I received an iPod at about 11:00, but it seemed a lot bulkier and darker than usual. After turning it on, I realized that my personal music collection was already loaded on the unit. For some reason, I decided to go for a swim with the Pod, hence the wet dream, but I was not electrocuted in the water.

The next order of business is a shipping question. As I said before, I was faced with two options (cancelling or waiting). Yesterday, Apple informed me that my iPod had in fact shipped with 2 day service. Happily, I went to the FedEx order tracking page and looked up my Pod. Apparently, it had arrived in Indianapolis, IN yesterday at 11:51 PM, but the Estimated delivery date was still 6/16/2003 by 16:30/4:30 PM. This doesn't make sense: my XtremeMac deluxe case, which had already shipped, arrived in Indianapolis and was shipped to my house the same day. What's going on here?

Again, thanks for providing me with a great iPod forum, and rock on!

I say call Apple up. What they always mean by 2nd day is the second business day. Hence, you should have it no later than Friday. I say get money back if it is not here by Friday. I had the same problem when I ordered my Marware case. It shipped on Thursday and got it on Tuesday, but it should have been there on Monday. I hate shippers.

Well if they shipped it, then it's not Apples problem anymore... Something must be wrong with the Fedex tracking number... You cannot get your money back once the product has left the warehouse... they only bill your credit card as soon as they process your order... and by that time, its too late

That's a pretty messed up subject. You should change it.

What relevance does the poll have to the actual post? But yes, the thread title is a little messed up.

I'm sure I'm missing something here, but I've re-read it a few times and still can't work out why the poll is there. Can someone fill me in?

I'm currently having the same problem w/Apple. I ordered on the 7th, they said the shipping date would be the 11th, they changed it to the 13th. You would think that with me paying extra $$ for next day shipping, they could pull their fingers out and get it to me sooner, not wait a week to even have it ship!

I feel a little humble. After i voted in the poll i realized I'm the only 5 GB owner. However, I am going to buy the first 64 bit G5 when they are released later this month!

Although it is a good idea to put sizes, you should have put separate categories for the new/old 10 gb...
