Playing with no track breaks

I have a gen 3 30GB ipod that I just bought. I'm using it with a mac, and I listen to mostly dance music. Most of my cd's runs the tracks together because the DJ's mix the sets so that there is no audible "break" betwee songs. However, I can't make it do that on my ipod. all tracks have a break between them on any album, is there any way I can remove the breaks? when I load them into Itunes they have no break, but when they play on the pod they do.

Please help!

Thanks

Well I am a XP user but if I want no breaks between the songs I rip the concerning cd's/songs as one track [i.e. one mp3] cos I wouldn't listen to those songs as a single track but as an album, f.e. K&D Sessions from Kruder & Dorfmeister, live albums, etc.

I'm having the same problem.. I would prefer not to rip the entire CD as one track, not keen on fast forwarding 30 minutes into the track to find a particular tune! Is there any other way around this?

No there isn't. It's a limitation of mp3s. iTunes supports cross-fading to fake the effect, but the iPod doesn't.

Here's more on MP3 Gaps ( http://www.geocities.com/altbinariessoundsmusicclassical/mp3gaps.html).
