ipod clock: keeps losing its place in time

My ipod's clock keeps on losing the right time. Not just by a few mins or anything, but normally 5-6 hours.
Yesterday I looked at it and the clock must have resetted, it's not moving on 12:00 1st Jan.

I always recharged my ipod reguarly. So does anyone know why this is happening?

No idea, though I have encountered a similiar problem...
In my case it doesnt lose like 5-6 hrs, but its almost like resetting for Daylight savings or something..the date is correct, but it is off by exactly 1/2 hrs...
i keep hving to reset the time...

getting really sick of these small but annoying bugs...

I believe that the clock has been fixed in iPod OS 1.2.6. Check your "About" screen, and if you don't have 1.2.6, download it and update your iPod to it.

Prior to 1.2.6, the clock would lose time every time you plugged in. My experience with my 20GB 2nd Generation iPod was that, after updating to 1.2.6, the clock kept perfect time always.

I can't remember if manually rebooting the iPod still resets the clock in 1.2.6, though. It still may, but at least casual use doesn't make the clock lose time.

Well, I've only noticed the time getting off when the battery is either low, or dead, but that's normal, I think, just really annoying.

I've noticed that when my 15GB is sitting in its dock, sometimes its time goes way off, but it usually corrects itself without having to undock it.
