Please help me! Over half my songs wont playback.

:mad: I recieved my 15g iPod today, and I was extremely excited. I immediatly synced it to my computer and put all of my music onto it. I went to play back the songs, but over half of them wouldn't play. And this was separated by artists. So say every song from The Beatles will play, but every song from Elvis will not play. Please help, I am extremely angry, and worried about this. Thank you in advance.

I'm assuming that they songs play fine on the computer? What are you using to upload songs to the iPod? Is this a mac iPod or windows?If you're using windows, what type of firewire card do you have? An incompatible card can very often be the cause of this issue.
To test it, delete some of the offending songs off of your iPod and reupload, see if some of them work OK.
Also, delete some of the ones that do work OK and see if you can get it fail (meaning get cutoffs).
That'll most likely point you into getting a better firewire card.

are your elvis songs mp3?s? if they are in an audio format that the ipod doesn?t support, f.e. ogg vorbis, they obviously won?t play. programmes like winamp and wmp play them fine so you may not have noticed?!m.r.m. at 2007-11-15 14:19:10 >

Thanks for the replys guys, and heh I went and restarted my iPod and cleared everything and downloaded ephpod and put everything on there, and it worked. Thank you though, but I have another question, my 15g iPod with onthing on it sayed it had 13g capacity, whered my ther 2g go?Coppertop at 2007-11-15 14:20:20 >
