Remote not working after mac 2 windows
hello,
I downloaded the windows version 1.3 on my Mac-ipod, because on want it to use it with Windows. Everything works fine except the remote. In the store they said this is normal when using a mac-ipod in windows. Is that so? Or does anyone know how to fix this?

No, that's not the case. There's no difference in the hardware between MiPods and WiPods.
I take it you have a 1st or 2nd gen iPod? You didn't put 1.3 on a 3rd gen iPod did you?
I've done this before (on a 1st and a 2nd gener) and there is not effect on the remote.

Where are the buttons...
Four buttons at the top = 3rd Gen
Buttons around the scroll pad/wheel = 1st or 2nd Gen

I have a 1st or 2nd Gen Ipod. My software version is 1.3 and the remote is not working. In the store where i bought the ipod, i tried another remote, also did not work. When using the remote, i can hear the music, except the buttons won't work (yes, the lock-switch is in the green position :-)). It seems i'm the only one having this problem. Anyway, thanks for your support so far.

Is your collar broken? Try pushing down and holding the remote in place...
I dont have a 1/2g but i read about that problem before
