iPod Wont Mount or Restore
Hello,
I did a search for this, but couldn't find anything. I have a 10G 2nd gen iPod and an Apple eMac. My pod won't mount. It has done this before, and I restored it and reloaded it and no problems. This time when I try and restore I get a message that tells me an iPod is connected but not mounted (I think this lets out the port, or the cable). Then when I click restore I get an error code 1102. When not connected, it is working fine, but when I connect I just get the blinking "do not disconnect". Thanks in advance.

After trying to shift restart with the pod connected several times (didn't work), I popped in my Norton System Works CD, and booted from that and lo and behold there it was. From 9, I ran the 1.3 updater (wasn't easy, several mini freezes) and restarted. This time it would mount but was still squirly. It would freeze while trying to reload songs, so I downloaded the 1.3 installer again, and was able to do yet another restore on it. This time it loaded everything. I think I will still take it in for service as I found out here that I apparently am still under warranty, via the retroactive 1 yr upgrade. Theres the goods. Not pretty but it worked (for now).
