Newbie, playlist question

I'm a new Ipod owner, and love my new gadget!

I do have one question about playlists.

Let's say that I select a playlist containing 20 songs. But, what if I selected the wrong one by accident. How do I tell the ipod to stop and let me re-select?

Right now, the only way I've found to do this is hit the skip song button >>| 20 times.

thanks in advance for the help!

If you want to play a different playlist, simply hit the menu button (it functions as a "Back" button).

The song playing won't stop, but at least you can choose a different song/playlist to play.

Noryen,

I tried that. It just appends the new playlist to the end of the old one. Now, I have 40 songs stacked up.

Hmm,
Let's see if we can clarify something here. First off I'm going to assume you are talking about Gen3 iPods, since Gen 2's don't have the ability to add new songs to a playlist. Also, I'm going to assume you are speaking of "On the Go" playlists.

Now for some facts: You can not clear specific songs from the "On the Go" playlist. Either you clear the entire "On the Go" playlist or you keep it all.

I guess to answer your question, if you want to completely clear out the "On the Go" playlist, please follow these directions:
1. (Optional) Pause the current song playing by pressing the Play/Pause button.
2. Go to the "On the Go" playlist menu and choose "Clear"
3. Select "Clear Playlist"

Now you can go back and add the songs you wanted into the "On the Go" playlist.
