Well, my scroll wheel was a bit loose, but I got used to it, and how quickly I could scroll through huge lists of bands .. so that didn't irk me much ... however, here's the new problem ...

All of a sudden the scroll wheel became very insensitive .. and then just stopped working alltogether, sigh.

If there's a way to fix it, that'd be great, but if not, I'd be willing to settle for a method of switching scroll control to the left and right buttons, and losing the ability to skip through songs manually. Is there any hope?
