Problem with alarm clock

ok, ive tried several mornings now to hook up my ipod to my speakers (through the dock) and set the alarm. i set the alarm for a certain time, and playlist, but it doesn't go off, i have set another alarm along side of it just in case (glad i did), until i got it to work right. but i am lost on this. could it be cause i sleep it afterwards and it doesn't turn back on? i also tried setting the alarm like 3 minutes later than the actual time to see if it goes off...one time it did, and one time it didn't...am i doing something wrong? any help would be greately appreciated.

I am having the same problem and posted a thread about it.

I have narrowed it down to the fact that it seems the ipod only works with MMJB .m3u playlists. What software are you using?

I use MC9.

This problem has been posted at the j river forum.

Will try and let you know if a fix is found

I don't know why it will not work for you then.

I know it will always say beep, this seems to be a known problem.

I will update on this forum when I find the answer
