Newbie: How to securly deplug the iPod?

Hi! Smee again...

I'd like to know: After that I have plugged my iPod in the Dock, dropped some songs in it and ejected the iPod in iTunes ... can I deplug it from the Dock? It shows the menu on the iPod screen... and if I shut it off, it starts charging... when is it safe to unplug it?

Thanks! (Again ;) )

You can safely unplug your iPod when the screen has a checkmark on it. (as soon as you unmount the iPod the checkmark appears)

As long as the iPod doesn't say DO NOT DISCONNECT! you should be safe.

On the PC, you either right-click the iPod manager and select Unmount iPod (that always gets me: it should me 'dismount'! :P), or you use the Safely Remove Hardware wizard to disconnect it. The tick screen doesn't seem to happen when you do this: it just returns to the iPod menu.

Wouldn't a dismount involve some sort of backflip and a really solid landing? ;)
