a really stupid question

sorry, im ######ed but does the length of the cord diminish the sound of output. i mean by i have 15gb ipod with the remote and the sony mde-nc11 noice canceling earphone which makes the cord very long, and seems to not have enough sound output.

I dont think it does, highly doubt it.

But you could get from earbuds/headphones what have high Sensitivity like the Shure E2C. Or get a get the sony Headphones that are SL (short cord)

To answer your question, yes there is technically a diminished output the longer the cord. But the cord would have to be fairly long for it to effect it such that you could hear it. The impedance just wouldn't be that great on any standard cord.

No, I don't have the specifics, but I wouldn't worry about it.

I think stuff like that starts to matter at large distance, like distances greater then 50 feet..

thanks guys, that answers my question fairly well, btw, the sony mdr-nc11 earphones have ultra good noice canceling ability, but ultra expensive too
