ipod dead w/ folder and caution symbol on screen HELP!

I recently bought a brand new 10GB ipod from ebay and began downloading playlists onto it w/no problems. However, it has suddenly stopped working, and only shows a folder with a caution symbol on the screen and Musicmatch Jukebox no longer recognizes it. I have followed the suggested repair techniques on apple.com (reset and reload) with no results. Anyone else come across this problem? Any suggestions?

Have you tried a restore w/the Apple Updater program?

Doesn't sound too good I'm afraid. I've been seeing this fairly often recently. I do know that if the hard drive gets "broken" it will show this. Is it possible you got taken by the place you purchased it from?

Not sure if you can return it or get service considering where you got it from...
